The leaves of the cabbage tree (Moringa stenopetala) possess natural compounds that can prevent inflammation and reduce associated pain. An Ethiopian study demonstrated the significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of crude leaf extracts using three different mice models of chronic inflammatory conditions.
Researchers from the Addis Ababa University conducted this study. They published their findings in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
The researchers offered up their results as evidence that supported the traditional use of the cabbage tree as a natural means of relieving pain and treating inflammatory diseases.
